15 Places You Absolutely Must Visit in 2015

If you’re like me, your New Year’s resolutions consist of a bucket list of countries you want to visit in the new year.  As a die-hard travel enthusiast, I’ve compiled a list of places you must visit based on places I’ve been to before and/or I would like to visit this year.

Here are my top 15!

1. Beirut, Lebanon

Beirut is one of my personal favorites.  Known as the “Paris of the Middle East,” Beirut is a vibrant city with so much to do and discover.  From trendy shops and restaurants to beach clubs and more, Beirut has a lot to offer its tourists.  Take the time to discover other areas of the country as well — you will not be disappointed!

2. Iceland

One of the best places to view the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).  You will never get bored in Iceland — you can go hiking, swimming, kayaking, visit the famed Blue Lagoon spa, and discover the breathtaking landscapes Iceland has to offer.  If you’re passionate about photography as I am, you will love it!

3. Norway

Norway is definitely one of the most breathtaking countries in the world.  With its beautiful landscapes and breathtaking fjords, in addition to its lively cities, Norway is a top destination for 2015.  In addition, you can also view the Northern Lights from different places in Norway.

4. The French Riviera

For a place that boasts 300 days of sunshine a year, you can discover nature, ski, hike, and visit so many beautiful sights and attractions! The French Riviera (or Côte d’Azur) boasts many events year-round, from the famous Nice Carnival to the Cannes Film Festival to the Monaco Grand Prix.

5. Chefchaouen, Morocco

Chefchaouen is a beautiful, picturesque city in Morocco’s Rif mountains.  Known for its buildings in shades of blue, Chefchaouen is often dubbed “The Blue City of Morocco” or “The Blue Pearl.”

6. Cape Town, South Africa

No matter what time of year you visit Cape Town, you are guaranteed to have a good time! South Africa’s second most populated city, it is home to a multicultural population and a growing expat population.  Cape Town boasts beautiful sights and its breathtaking mountains, beaches, and harbor are famous.  Cape Town was named named Best Place in the World to Visit in 2014 by the New York Times.

7. Nepal

8. Dubai, UAE

10. Japan

Japan is a hot destination for tourists.  The several attractions and sights on offer make Japan a must-see destination in 2015! 11. Patagonia

13. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka may be a small country but it has a lot to offer.  With beautiful beaches, heritage sites, and amazing cuisine, this is a must-go spot for travel enthusiasts in 2015!

14. Spetses, Greece

15. Dubrovnik, Croatia
