Following the deadly attacks in Paris on November 13, 2015, which left France and the rest of the world shocked, French President François Hollande declared a 3 day national mourning period.
Monday, November 16, 2015, 3 days after the horrible attacks in Paris that left 132 people dead, and more than 300 injured, everyone in France observed a minute of silence at noon in remembrance of the victims.
Today, in Nice, France, a gathering was held in remembrance of the victims of the Paris Attacks at the Monument des Morts on the Promenade des Anglais. In attendance were the Prefect of the Alpes Maritimes, the Mayor of Nice, local religious figures from all faiths, veterans, and several hundred people who gathered at 11:45 in the morning and held a minute of silence for the victims at noon.
